"It is very hard to convey the stress on a persons face when they arrive in December at Heron Emerency Food Centre and express how they have nothing for Christmas, or at least nothing extra. Then by the generosity of Christmas Cheer and the Ottawa Food Bank, KEFC is able to proved the person in great need a turkey, ham, fresh vegetables and a gift card. The client lights up like a huge Christmas tree. You hear comments like "Seriously we may have this"? "Oh just when I thought I was going to have to tell my children we would not have anything for Christmas dinner this year". To be honest, some people were crying they were so happy"
